Etic Landscape #5 is a brand new painting, the latest in my series of landscapes. (A discernible horizon makes for a landscape because I say so.)
To me, it looks like it might be someplace real. Maybe a place in another galaxy or maybe someplace in another reality in the multiverse where the physical laws are not the same as what we are used to. Maybe it is not actually a physical place at all, but a state of mind.
We may not be able to fully understand such a place because we do not have the native sensory equipment necessary to perceive things accurately or wholly in that alien reality. I experience it in my imagination – or is it a sublime real if other-worldly place that I tap into?
This is my visual interpretation of impressions that are not limited to a visual experience of that place.
Posted to my new website, the original painting is 36×24 inches and available for purchase. Also available in a variety of print formats. Choose the size, media, and framing options to suit your needs. Shop here.
